Carnatic Vocal
Carnatic Music is a system of music that is commonly associated with southern India.
The name is is derived from the term Karnataka Sangeetham, which means traditional or codified music.
Ranging from the fundamentals of carnatic music, to more advanced vocal training, the nurturing environment of the Carnatic vocal faculty at TFA enables students to tap into the musical voice that is already embedded in them by nature.
With formal training and guidance, the students are able to understand and appreciate the rich tradition of Carnatic music.
They are also given numerous opportunities to participate in melas (cultural festivals), orchestras and productions, allowing them to collaborate with other students and appreciate other styles and artforms. This holistic experience at TFA makes way for students to love and enjoy music while striving to perfect it.
