TFA’s artistic endeavours have always been in the pursuit of transcending through the arts. For students, it could be in the gradual building of confidence through continued improvement or finding solace in being one with their art form. For the general public and its audiences, it hopes to share the love for Art and spark their experience of the sublime and ineffable magic that is Art, onstage.

Having pioneered the concept of large-scale productions in Singapore, TFA is constantly re-imagining how it can transport audiences with immersive art experiences, whether through comprehensive sets, elaborate costumes, original music, or multimedia art. TFA has been performing in leading arts venues in Singapore and the region for over 35 years and its repertoire includes legendary dance dramas such as Ramayana, Swan Lake, Lady White Snake, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Taj Mahal, Taal Express, Damaru, The Rajput Princess and Premanadi, to name a few.

In addition to the large scale public productions, TFA also offers Arts Education Programmes (AEP) and grooms its students with regular in‐house performance opportunities.

TFA celebrates its milestone 40th anniversary by using new mediums to explore how art can push boundaries and create an impact with audiences with digital productions. Fully original films such as TranscenDance and in-house Creative Lab Series Chitsabha and Antardrishti set the tone for the artistic exploration and innovation TFA will continue delving into over the next 40 years to come.
