Hindustani Vocal
Hindustani Vocal, is the traditional music from the Northern regions of India. Hindustani classical music has many genres like Khayal, Thumari, Tarana, Tappa etc. There are mainly 4 Gharanas (styles) in Hindustani music named by the place they originated from: Gwalior, Agra, Jaipur and Kirana.
Here at TFA, our teachers expose their students to various styles and genres of Hindustani music, and train them to use their imagination and improvise. They are given opportunities to perform in both in-house and in productions. Working with students to understand their aspirations, our teachers create a plan which enables them both to experience the joy of music, while equipping themselves with the necessary skills.
